House Rules

Our house rules are in place to ensure a safe, efficient, and inspiring workplace for our members.  Upon signing of your membership contract, you agree to abide by the House Rules. 

Thank you for taking the time to read and adhere to the house rules.

House rules are subject to change and may be altered at any time by Metro Workspace with immediate effect.

 

Access to your workspace 

●        Members enjoy 24 hour, 7-day, 365 days per year access to the workspace via an allocated, unique security card. 

●        Community officers are available to support members during office hours. 

●        You can find your community officer at the front desk, on email, phone, and a dedicated WhatsApp. 

●        There may be occasions where the community officer is away during office hours for business purposes.  

●        Office hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00pm, Monday to Friday (public holidays exempt).

●        Metro Workspace (WCH & KC) is a pet friendly workspace, dogs and cats are welcome. Members should accompany their pets and maintain them clean and respect other members.

 

Parcels, couriers, and mail 

●        During office hours, community officers can receive mail and parcels on your behalf.

●        Parcels will be secured stored for two working days. After this time, a storage fee of HK$100 per day applies.

●        Courier payments should be paid in full by the member. 

●        Community officers cannot make payments to couriers. 

 

Common Area

●        Hot desks cannot be reserved and are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

●        Members should respect the space and leave the desk clean and tidy. 

●        If a member wishes to keep items at the workspace, please contact a community officer about rental lockers.

●        Members are prohibited from entering staff areas at all times.

 

 Meeting rooms 

●        Meeting rooms should be booked via the online booking platform in advance. Over-use will be subject to charge.

●        Members shall treat the meeting rooms with care and respect. Metro reserves the right to claim damage from members if damages be caused by such members or their guests.

 

The pantry and kitchen

●        Members should clean their dishes, cutlery, and cups in the sink provided.  

●        Members may store food, beverages, and medication(s) in the refrigerator.

●        Fridge is available for members, stored items should be labeled with names. Fridge cleans out every Friday. 

 

 Bathroom / Shower Room Guidelines

●        Bathroom and shower room facilities are available to all members.  

●        Members shall treat with care and respect. Metro reserves the right to claim damage from members if damages be caused by such members or their guests.


Fire safety and emergency procedure 

●        To comply with Hong Kong Fire Services Department regulations, fire safety doors should be closed at all times.

●        Emergency exits should be unobstructed at all times.


Guests

●        Member shall be responsible for all actions of their guests and guests shall be accompanied by their hosts when using any facility at all times.

●        Guests should stay in member’ office who wish to use the workspace for more than 2 hours are required to purchase a day pass.  


Noise and respect 

●        Our workspaces play curated playlists to foster an inspirational and productive working environment.

●        Members are welcome to listen to their own music via headphones or in their private offices 

●        The noise level, especially when making phone calls, should be kept to a level so as not to interfere or disrupt others

●        Members of all types are expected to conduct legal business and activities only.

●        Smoking (electronic cigarette) indoors is prohibited at all times.


Personal appliances

●        Tenants are NOT permitted to bring electrical appliances into the property that may pose a fire safety risk or consume excessive quantities of electricity, including such items as; heaters, heating fans, element heater, portable air-conditioners, electric blankets, microwaves, servers etc. Appliances that use large amounts of electricity will incur a weekly fee to cover excess electricity costs. Unapproved appliances in properties where the owner pays electricity will incur a weekly fee applicable until the tenant vacates (e.g bar fridges, heaters, air conditioning units etc…). Charges vary by property and device type, check with your property manager before you purchase or bring an appliance to the property. If found in the property, these fees will be applied for the duration of the lease, including backdating. 

●        Tenants are permitted to have any of the following items in their room;

Personal Computer, laptop, electric toothbrush, pedestal fan (NONE HEATING), tablet, phone and associated power chargers. Other small, personal appliances such as the above are acceptable, with written permission from Metro Workspace. The owner reserves the right to seek, and backdate, compensation for excessive electricity costs incurred through the use of unauthorised appliances.

Cancellation policy

Bookings can only be cancelled with a full refund up to 24 hours prior to the start time.

If the booking is cancelled within less than 24 hours of the scheduled time-slot, no refund will be given.
